Patriots Day Adds Kevin Bacon To Star Studded Cast

Hollow Man actor Kevin Bacon has been roped in for the upcoming film ‘Patriots Day’. He will be joining Mark Wahlberg, J.K. Simmons, John Goodman and Michelle Monaghan for the project which will be helmed by Peter Berg. The movie will be released on January 13 next year.

‘Patriots Day’ focuses on the true events that took place during the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing case. Kevin will essay the role of FBI Special Agent in Charge, Richard DesLauriers. Mark Plays Sgt. Tommy Saunders with Goodman as Commissioner Ed Davis and Simmons as Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese. The cast also includes Erica McDermott, Vincent Curatola and James Colby.

Talking about Kevin’s character, the director shared, “Richard DesLauriers worked tirelessly as one of the key figures in an impossibly sophisticated investigation and Kevin Bacon possesses the intelligence and empathy to portray him”. The actor is known for his roles in movies like ‘Footloose’, ‘Tremors ‘ and ‘Cop Car’. ‘Patriots Day’ will be produced by Hutch Parker, Scott Stuber, Dylan Clark, Dorothy Aufiero, Stephen Levinson, Michael Radutzky and Mark Wahlberg.
