Rogue One Trailer Released

Following yesterday’s announcement teaser for the upcoming trailer, Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm have released the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Wars Story film Rogue One. The short clip introduces the lead character in the film, Jyn Erso, played by Felicity Jones. The movie will showcase the events that occurred before Episode IV: A New Hope.

The cast for Rogue One will include Diego Luna, Jiang Wen, Mads Mikkelsen, Forest Whitaker, Ben Mendelsohn and Donnie Yen, along with Felicity. The teaser shows Jyn as a young rebel who is recruited by the ‘Rebellion’ to get information on the Death Star. Forest Whitaker’s character narrates, “What will you do when they catch you? What will you do if they break you? If you continue to fight.. what will you become?” and the teaser ends with a shot of Jyn wearing the ‘Imperial’ uniform. The teaser is sure to give you goosebumps.

Rogue One is being directed by Gareth Edwards with screenplay by Chris Weitz. Kathleen Kennedy and Tony To are producing the film with co-producer John Swartz. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will hit the screens on December 16.
