Russell Crowe, George MacKay To Feature In 'True History of the Kelly Gang'

Hollywood actors Russell Crowe, George MacKay, and Nicholas Hoult are all set to feature in a new western film 'True History of the Kelly Gang'. The film is based on a historical novel written by Australian writer Peter Carey. It is going to be directed by Justin Kurzel, who had earlier helmed Macbeth.

The story revolves around a notorious outlaw living in the woods namely Ned Kelly (Mackay), who is one of the world's greatest outlaws. Shaun Grant has been brought on board the film to write the screenplay. Moreover, actors Essie Davis, Travis Fimmel and Dacre Montgomery wilol also be seen in some crucial role in the flick.

Meanwhile, the venture is being bankrolled by Liz Watts, Hal Vogel, and Brad Feinstein and  Peter Carey, David Aukin, Vincent Sheehan, and Joseph F Ingrassia are the executive partners. It has been known that the film will be shot extensively in Australia.
