Sherlock’s Christmas Special Episode Look
Updated : April 06, 2016 11:00 AM IST BBC One has revealed a picture of the crime solving duo, Sherlock and Watson, dressed in Victorian style clothing. It is a teaser for the upcoming stand-alone Christmas special episode of the series, ‘Sherlock’. Benedict Cumberbatch plays the highly skilled detective ‘Sherlock Holmes’ while Martin Freeman plays the role of ‘Dr. John Watson’, who is a former British Army doctor and Sherlock’s best friend.
The photograph shows Benedict sitting on a classic Victorian chair with Martin leaning on the chair sporting a moustache. Even though the show is based on the modern era, the Christmas episode will be quite different. Steven Moffat, co-creator of the show, wanted to take the duo back to the era of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The series has seen three extremely popular seasons. Fans, all over, have been waiting anxiously for the next issue. With the filming of season 4 starting next year, the writers of the show (Mark Gatiss, Steven Moffat, Stephen Thompson) want to give the viewers a similar, yet different feel with the special episode this Christmas.
