As he doesnt have complete authority over the upbringing of his only biological child Suri now, Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise is attempting to lure the child by gifting her expensive stuffs and taking her on lavish holidays. However, the attempt of Tom has enraged his ex-wife Katie Holmes. On her first meeting with the six-year-old on July 17, Tom reportedly spent a whopping $17000 on his daughter, showbizspy.com reported. The dotting father took her in a private helicopter to The Hamptons and bought her new wardrobe, including a whole new line of snazzy, fashionable clothes and shoes - despite Katie is strictly against it. The Hollywood actress is trying hard to give Suri a more normal childhood, removing her from the protective bubble that once surrounded her. She has also enrolled the kid in a private school unlike the home tutoring she received so far. Meanwhile, the Top Gun actor is planning to buy a new home in New York to spend more time with Suri. "Tom's looking for a new home here. He wants a fresh start. He does not want to go back to the East Village apartment where he was living with Katie," said a source. "He's looking for something that's very private, where he won't have to deal with going through a lobby, and people outside all the time. He also wants to have a nice amount of space for Suri, with outdoor space. That could mean high-end luxury apartments, but he's also looking at houses outside of the city or in gated communities," the source added.
