Terminator Genisys Was The First And Last For Emilia Clarke

Dana Goldberg, Skydance chief creative officer, previously stated that they will be making some changes to the plans for Terminator sequels and now, ‘Terminator Genisys’ star Emilia Clarke has shared that she will not be returning as Sarah Connor for any future instalments, if there are any. Genisys made around $440 million worldwide, even though it did not get an appreciative response from the critics. What does this say about the future of the franchise?

Emilia spoke about the franchise and her role as Sarah Connor and when asked if she would play the character again, the Game of Thrones actor said, “No. Can I say that? It’s okay. No. Uh-uh. But I have some very different roles coming up”. Talking about her upcoming projects, Emilia revealed that she has Warner Bros. Pictures’ ‘Me Before You’ in her kitty.

“I read the book and it was just the most beautiful thing I had ever read. I was shooting ‘Terminator’ at the time and had a rocket launcher in my hand while crying like a little girl. I felt like the author, Jojo Moyes, had found a part of me and just wrote it down. I knew that I just had to play the role”, She shared about the role.
