There No Stopping The Martian
Updated : April 06, 2016 11:01 AM IST Running on its fifth weekend, Ridley Scotts The Martian has once again scored the top spot on the weekend box office top five list. The movie grossed $11.4 million making a total of $428 million worldwide. The movie stars Matt Damon who plays an astronaut stranded on Mars.
Coming in second was the Jack Black starrer Goosebumps. With a gap of about $1.4 million, the movie grossed $10.2 million on its third weekend. Directed by Rob Letterman, the horror comedy has pooled in $66 million worldwide. Bridge of Spies comes in third with its $8.6 million third weekend which is great news as it was made on a budget of $40 million and has grossed $57 million worldwide.
Hotel Transylvania 2 still holds a spot on the top five running on its sixth weekend. The movie collected $5.8 million and was followed by Burnt, coming in at $5 million. It was the opening weekend for Burnt which stars Bradley Cooper playing a chef trying to back in the industry. The movie has been directed by John Wells.
