Three More Seasons for South Park

Comedy Central has renewed the adult comedy series ‘South Park’ for three seasons. Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the series started in 1997 and with this renewal, will run through 2019. Comedy Central wants to make ‘South Park’ the longest-running scripted primetime series on cable.

The show revolves around four boys named Eric Cartman, Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski and Kenny McCormick. They live in a small town called ‘South Park’, in Colorado. The show is famous for its adult comedy and the use of strong profanity. Both Trey and Matt direct and write all the episodes of the show. They also voice most of the male characters.

Matt and Trey stated, “We love working for Doug and with everyone at Comedy Central. They've given us an insane level of artistic and creative freedom for almost 20 years. They walk the walk”. The series has seen 18 seasons and season 19 will air on September 16.
