Is Tom Hardy the successor to Daniel Craig as the next James Bond?

It has been reported that Bane from The Dark Knight Rises, Tom Hardy, has been taken into consideration as the replacement of Daniel Craig in the next James Bond film. Hardy might step into the shoes of Craig as the secret agent once the latter is done with his contract with the James Bond franchise.

As per the contract the Skyfall star Craig is bound to take part in two more James Bond movies. The search for Craig’s replacement has already begun in a full-fledged way and it is being heard that Hardy suits the role best and he is the topmost contender as of now. A source reported to a leading daily, "Although Craig is signed up for the next two Bond films, the search for his replacement is already on.” The source added, "Tom is right at the top of the wish list. He's been approached to gauge his interest and he's keen.” Before Craig the character of James Bond has been played by actors like Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, David Niven and Timothy Dalton.
