Twilight Star Mackenzie Foy To Play Clara In Disney's The Nutcracker

Disney has short listed Mackenzie Foy to play Clara in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. The 15-year-old actress, who you know from The Twilight Series: Breaking Dawn, will join Misty Copeland for the live action movie as Clara. Lasse Hallstrom will serve as the director.

The film will be based on E.T.A. Hoffman’s Christmas Eve tale about a young girl who finds a Nutcracker doll with her family’s presents and is given the responsibility to take care it. At night, the Nutcracker comes to life, along with an evil Mouse King who introduces the little girl to the magical world of toys.

Dancer Misty will portray the lead ballerina role in the picture's sole dance sequence and the internationally acclaimed ballet star previously revealed how excited she is about making her feature film debut. "I'm thrilled to be a part of this amazing project with Disney and the wonderful Lasse Hallstrom," she wrote on Instagram.com. Mark Gordon is producing with Lindy Goldstein executive producing.
