Venice Film Festival to begin with Gravity
Updated : May 01, 2014 03:09 AM ISTThe Venice Film Festival is the oldest international film festival in the world, founded by Count Giuseppe Volpi in 1932 as Esposizione Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica. And this August the film fiesta will start with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney's sci-fi thriller, Gravity. The film is a 3D production, directed by Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron.
The movie is a story about Sandra and George who are enacting the role of astronauts and how they get stuck in the space alone yet together and their efforts to return to Earth after their space shuttle is destroyed by debris, leaving them drifting in orbit. The remaining line-up of flicks for the festival is still under wraps.
