Vicky Krieps To Star In ‘The Girl in the Spider’s Web’

Vicky Krieps has been approached to star in Sony and MGM’s ‘The Girl in the Spider’s Web’, which is a sequel to the 2009 film ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’. The sequel already stars Claire Foy, ‘Blade Runner 2049’s’ Sylvia Hoeks and The Square’s Claes Bang. Claire Foy and Sylvia Hoeks will play twin sisters, while Bang will essay the role of a baddie.

The makers have not yet revealed the details about Vicky’s character. The team is currently shooting for the flick in Berlin and Stockholm. Fede Alvarez, who directed the hit movie ‘Don’t Breathe’ in 2016 for Sony, has been hired to helm the thriller.

Steven Knight has written the screenplay with the team of Alvarez and Jay Basu, based on David Lagercrantz’s bestseller. The film will be jointly produced by Scott Rudin, Yellow Bird, Amy Pascal and Elizabeth Cantillon. It will be executive produced by David Beaubaire. The movie is expected to release on November 9.
