Will Smith to Star in 'Bounty'

Will Smith will star in the Paramount drama ‘Bounty,’ which is set in Boston. Smith will also produce under his Overbrook Entertainment banner with Madhouse Entertainment’s Adam Kolbrenner. Paramount bought the spec script by Sascha Penn.

According to sources, Smith will play a man who is wrongly convicted of murder. He escapes from prison in a bid to prove his innocence, however the task is made especially difficult when the widow of the man he supposedly killed puts a $10 million bounty on him, dead or alive. Will Smith will next be seen opposite Margot Robbie in ‘Focus,’ which hits theaters on February 27th. His upcoming projects also include the DC Comics movie ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘Concussion,’ which is based on the GQ article ‘Game Brain’ and co-stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Albert Brooks, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Bitsie Tulloch, Luke Wilson, David Morse and Alec Baldwin.
