Wolverine… one last time: Hugh Jackman

Los Angeles, March 30 -- Hugh Jackman who is known for essaying the role of Wolverine in the X-Men film series will be departing from the role after one last appearance. "Wolverine… one last time", Jackman captioned a picture he posted on Instagram with both his fists on the table and claws protruding. He was first cast as Wolverine in Bryan Singer's X-Men (2000) and has since gone on to play the character seven times.

The 46-year-old star could make an appearance in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse or the standalone Wolverine trilogy set to come out in 2017. In 2014, Jackman declared that the next standalone Wolverine film would probably be his last. "If I did another, I'm 99.9 percent sure it would be the last, so that will inform what it is for me", he said.
