Women are so resilient and I think the response to the whole Weinstein situation kind of proved that: Margot Robbie

After a string of big celebrities facing scrutiny for numerous sexual allegations, Hollywood starlet Margot Robbie stated that she feels proud to be a woman. The actress was happy with the amount of support the social media is giving to the victims, who spoke up and made sexual harassment allegations against Harvey Weinstein.

The 27-year-old actress appreciated the ‘resilience’ of the women, who have spoken up about facing sexual misconduct. The Suicide Squad actress was quoted as saying, “Women are so resilient and I think the response to the whole Weinstein situation kind of proved that. To me, when I think of women, I think the word that sums up women so well but isn't used as often as it should be is resilient”. She further added, “It's astounding how quickly everyone pivoted from being heartbroken about the news to, how do we move forward? How can we move forward? What good can come out of this? Everyone was so supportive immediately and then automatically looking to the future, which made me even more proud to be a woman”.

The actress’s close friend Cara Delevingne was one of the victims who also made sexual allegations against Harvey Weinstein. Regarding her friend Margot said, “Cara is a dear friend of mine and I already knew she was a fierce, brave woman. Today just proved that again”. The actress closed her statement wishing that the whole issue produces a good outcome.
