Neha Shetty to Star in Mungaru Male 2

Miss Mangalore runner-up, Neha Shetty has been roped in to play female lead in Mungaru Male 2, which is the sequel of blockbuster Kannada film Mungaru Male. Mungaru Male was directed by Yogaraj Bhat. The first instalment of the film has already set the standards high that director Shashank, who is helming the sequel, wants to cast best artists in the film.

Neha will be sharing screen space with Ganesh, who is the male lead. Releasing the news, the director told New Indian Express, “Neha Shetty will be the new Mungaru Male girl. She is a Kannadiga and as a young model who won Miss Mangalore and was the first runner-up in Miss South India”.

Shashank said that he spotted Neha in a newspaper. He explained, “We were thinking of going on floors from April. At that time she was busy with her PUC exams and could not be a part of the project. The film got postponed to July, and while we were still on with the search, her father called up last week and told us that his daughter had completed her exams and was getting ready for the Miss India Pageant to be held next year”.
