Prakash Jayaram: The Script Of A Film Dictates The Cast And That’s Been The Case With Tarak As Well

Prakash Jayaram’s film ‘Tarak’ is an upcoming Indian action drama Kannada film, which stars Darshan Thoogudeep in the lead character. Prakash has for the first time worked outside of family as prior to this he had joint ventures with his cousins. Tarak has been written by Mahesh Rao, who has directed Santhu Straight Forward.

Talking about the film Prakash said, “When I listened to the script, the idea interested me. The screenplay was then done by me and MS Abhishek, who has worked on most of my films. We narrated the script to Darshan and he liked it as well. I have always thought that Darshan was a good actor, especially after I saw Nanna Preethiya Ramu”. Darshan will be seen as an NRI, so he will have a different look in the film. 

The film, which is a family entertainer, has been produced by Dushyanth along with Prakash.  The director said, “For me, the script always dictates the cast and that’s been the case with Tarak as well. It’s not that I will only work with family; it all depends on the story”. Meanwhile, the film is set to hit the theatres on September 29.
