Standup Comedian Bags A Role In A Kannada Film

As per media reports doing rounds, standup comedian Ahmed Shariff has been roped in for forthcoming Kannada project, titled ‘Humble Politician Nograj’. However, along with Ahmed, Danish Sait will be seen essaying the role of a manipulative politician. If everything goes smooth then the actor will be brought on board.

Talking about how he bagged a role in the film, Ahmed says, "I went for the audition two weeks ago after seeing the ads, and thought that I fared badly because the lines were in Kannada, and I am not a native Kannada speaker. However, they liked how I acted and I got a call when I was in Hyderabad for a show. I still don't know the role that I will be offered." However, fans are ardent to witness his acting skills in the film.

Also, he has revealed that he will be soon heading for a screen-test. When he was asked if his being a comedian helped him bag the role, he said, "Not at all. I stood in line with hundreds of people. There was no special privilege."
