‘Aabhaasam’ May Get An 'A' Certificate

Mollywood is looking forward to watch the much awaited movie ‘Aabhaasam’. The movie has been shot and completed. Currently, the movie is currently facing censor cuts and mutes, as it has received an ‘A’ certificate.

Regarding the re-editing of the movie, the bankroller of the movie said, “We are ready to comply with their demand — to make a few mutes. Still, the movie can’t escape ‘A’ certificate. Some of the claims made at the Censor Board are that the film does not convey any positive message to society and it is all dark. But it is a satire. We won’t accept the certificate and will place a request to review the decision”.

Terming the whole issue as ‘Political Agenda’, the producer said, “It was first screened on December 26, upon which the certification was given. We demanded one more screening. Now the film is dated January 2, 2018. That means one more year for it to be taken to film festivals and awards”. ‘Aabhaasam’ is helmed by Jubith Namradath and also stars Rima Kallingal and Suraj Venjaramood.
