Aswathi Menon Talks About Her Reason For Absence!

Mollywood diva Aswathi Menon has made a comeback to the Malayalam film industry. The actress was last seen in 2002 flick Savithriyute Aranjanam. Aswathi is portraying the role of Lucy in the movie ‘Role Models’.

Despite the fact that the actress has less screen presence in the latest movie, she has still received praises for the portrayal of her character in the movie. On being asked about the reson for her absence for a long period of almost 15 years, Menon was quoted as saying, “My family decided to go back to Dubai. I waited for a while for some good opportunities to come through, but that was a dry moment for Malayalam cinema back then”.

She further added, “There is a lot of theatre happening there (Dubai). A majority of it happen in terms of community theatre. A lot of production houses produce theatre over the weekend and I have been part of about five productions”. She ended her statement mentioning that her spouse Vikas motivated her to recommence her acting career.
