Miya To Play A Journalist Again In Sherlock Toms

It seems that people only want to see Miya portraying the role of a journalist. When it comes to essaying the role of a journalist, Miya is beyond comparison in Mollywood. The actress has played a reporter in flicks like Memories and 32aam Adhyayam 23aam Vakyam.

And now the 25-year-old has again been roped in by filmmaker Shafi to play the role of a journalist in his forthcoming comic caper Sherlock Toms. The director says, "Miya plays one of the two heroines in the film - the other being Srinda. Miya will be seen as TV reporter named Shiny Mattumel, who is pivotal to the story."

On portraying the role of a reporter again, Miya said, “The earlier films that had me as a journalist never really explored the professional side of it. This movie though will showcase that aspect. Also, Sherlock Toms is a fun movie told through humour - so while my profession is same, the genre is completely different." Sherlock Toms will be shot in Kochi. The director has signed in actor Biju Menon to play the male lead. Apart from Miya, Srinda and Biju Menon, the film will also feature Vijayaraghavan, Suresh Krishna, Salim Kumar, Shajohn, Rafi and Sohanlal.
