Prithviraj Sukumaran To Produce-Act In Spanish Film Timecrimes' Remake

The critically-acclaimed Spanish film, Timecrimes is being remade in Malayalam and Prithviraj Sukumaran has purchased the rights of the flick, reportedly. Prithviraj will be producing the film and also acting in it. The movie is a time-travel thriller.

IANS quoted a source as saying, “Although the film will be an adaptation of the original, its remake rights have been bought. Prithviraj is most likely to produce while debutant Kannan will direct it”. The rest of the cast hasn’t been decided as yet.

Timecrimes is a story about middle-aged man who fights himself being stuck in the time continuum.   “If everything goes as planned, the film may go on floors early next year”, added the source. Further, rumours are rife that Prithviraj might gain a few kilos in order to get into the skin of the character.
