Rahman’s Lavender to be promoted by Suriya

Suriya, the Tamil superstar has accepted Rahman’s proposal to promote his upcoming film, Lavender, with pleasure. Altas Ali, the director, confirmed, “Yes, Suriya will come down to Kochi next week to promote the film. Rahman has earlier worked with Suriya and the two share a good rapport”. It is apparent that Suriya is not only the superstar, but also has a heart of gold, as promoting other’s film is not such a common sight.

The two stars became good friends after Singam 2(2013), in which they were seen together on-screen. They have also worked in 36 Vayadhinile, which is produced by Suriya and Rehman plays husband of Jyothika.  Rehman revealed, “Suriya is currently busy with his film Masss, but when I called him, he agreed to come down to Kerala and promote my film, which was totally unexpected”.

The flick is about love and revenge of Malyali people in the lavender farms of Thailand. Elham Misra is the lead actress. Aju Varghese, Govind Padmasoorya, Nishan, Thalaivasal Vijay, and Kalpana are also playing important roles.
