Star couple Dileep, Manju Warrier divorced by mutual consent

Mollywood actors Dileep and Manju Warrier ended their 16 years of marriage, after they were granted divorce by family court. The estranged couple had filed a joint petition seeking divorce by mutual consent, on July 24, last year. Manju Warrier, the popular Malayalam actress who had disappeared from the silver screen post her marriage made her comeback with How Old are You, last year.

The wedding of the star couple came as a great shock for movie-buffs. Manju was at the peak of her career when she got married but had to stop acting after her marriage with Dileep, whose open disapproval in his wife continuing with films was highly criticized. According to the latest reports, their 13-year old daughter Meenakshi would be staying with father as no maintenance petition was filed by Dileep or Manju for the custody of daughter. None of them revealed the real reason behind their separation and media respected their privacy.

How Old Are You, directed by Roshan Andrews, emerged to be a hit at the box-office. Now the beautiful actress is awaiting the release of Sathyan Anthikkad’s upcoming directorial venture. Meanwhile, Dileep is continuing his success run.
