Akshay Kumar has finally, finally won his first ever Best Actor Award, and that too a National Award.
As the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting declares the National Awards right now, Akshay Kumar has finally received a National Film Award for Rustom. Rustom was a crime-mystery film written by Vipul K Rawal and directed by Tinu Suresh Desai. It featured Akshay Kumar and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead roles. It was based on the real life incident of Naval Officer K.M. Nanavati.
The 64th National Film Awards have come as a first for Akshay where the actor, who has never won a best actor award in his life has hit a six, with not just a best actor win, but a magnanimous one with National stamp!
While all Akshay fans are rejoicing and going nuts with this news out on Twitter, we're sure the humble star might be taking a few moments to digest this news and celebrate later.
