5 Actresses Who Can Play Saina Nehwal Better Than Shraddha Kapoor

Saina Nehwal’s biopic is on its way. Amol Gupte has taken the responsibility upon himself to share the story of the Olympic medal winner shuttler! The actress who has been finalized to play the character of Saina Nehwal is Shraddha Kapoor. Earlier today she tweeted,

We have already seen how Shraddha has been casted. She looks like a collage of all her previous films in her upcoming movie, Half Girlfriend. While we sincerely hope that she has much more potential than what we have seen till now, as she has shown in Haider. She has a chance to prove herself in the upcoming Haseena biopic. But then there are so many actresses who we feel could have done a better job at playing Saina Nehwal. Here are 5 actresses who we feel could have done a better job at playing Saina better than Shraddha:

1. Deepika Padukone

Deepika is already a National level badminton player and the daughter of one of the most celebrated shuttler, Prakash Padukone. She already knows the game and could have looked so much more believable as the ace shuttler. While their height might not be matching, she could have definitely made the film look great with her acting skills and her knowledge about the game.

2. Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee has proved her talent as an actress. Many would not know but she is a friend of Saina for a long time. She already knows so much about her life and her struggle. And she is fit too!

3. Kangana Ranaut

Her acting capability is beyond any question. She can get into the skin of any character. What better choice to play Saina than the queen of Bollywood herself.

4. Priyanka Chopra

She has played Mary Kom before and we had seen how she had transformed to play the character of the Olympic medal winning boxer.  Isn’t that enough confirmation that she would have done a brilliant job as Saina Nehwal too? And she could have also used her experience and expertise to make the film a hit!

5. Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti has a lot of potential that we had seen in her earlier movies. Post her transformation, we have seen little of her. But her stature and body structure is very similar to the badminton star herself and we really feel that she could have carried out the role pretty well.
