Biopics are all the rage right now. Whether they are about five-year-old marathon runners or the Flying Sikh himself; whether they are about controversial cricket stars of the 1990s or the captain of Indian cricket team--it seems like Bollywood has realised that it can find inspiration in real people.
Of course, not every real person is biopic worthy. For a truly successful biopic, the subjects, first and foremost, need to be interesting. Also, more or less, the biopics that do get made are about people who have influence or have done something great. They are, a lot of times, about people who are known to many, but understood by very few.
Which brings us to our point.
Bollywood celebrites are one of the most popular species in our country. Not only that, many of them, beneath al the glitz and glamour, have incident-filled lives that are miscontrued by many. And these facts makes them perfect candidates for biopics.

Married four times, one of the most influential singers of all time had a unique personal life too.
Amitabh Bachchan
Son of a famous poet, Amitabh Bachchan’s life is screen worthy. From being the angry young man to getting called the man of the millennium, the Shahenshah of Bollywood doesn’t only have a massive filmography but his personal incidents have been well-documented as well. From his political involvement to his bankruptcy to his famous affair with Rekha, his life has constantly been under radar.
Guru Dutt
Chances are you might have heard this name in passing but never knew its importance. Guru Dutt is considered by many among the best actor and directors in the world. While his films are still seen by many, his own life story is also worth watching. Due to his excessive drinking, the genius died at the age of 39. He was sustained by his wife, who suffered a nervous breakdown after his death and subsequently died of alcoholism herself.
