Udta Punjab, despite the recent controversy, is the most anticipated release of this summer.

Right from the start, the movie has struck a chord with the viewers—and why not? The film boasts a stellar cast, with Shahid's edgy look immediately catching attention. The movie deals the controversial theme of the drugs situation in Punjab. The film is produced by Anurag Kashyap and Ekta Kapoor and its director has previously made the movies Ishqiya and Dedh Ishiqiya.

But what has really caught the eye is Amit Trivedi's absolutely KILLER soundtrack. Trivedi, who has already contributed to movies like Dev D. and Queen, has really mesmerised listeners with his efforts in the film.

Ud-daa Punjab is the latest song to be released. Slated to be an anthem for the movie, the video of the song appears to be promotional as Shahid appears with his hair cut, which is different from the long-locks he has in the trailers.
