6 Bollywood Actors Who Did Foreign Films Other Than Hollywood!

Bollywood has long been exporting talent to Hollywood and now it has sort of become a Bollywood trend for actors to aspire to do a film in Hollywood. But apart from the like of Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone who are both making Bollywood proud in the West this year, there are so many other actors who have done some brilliant work in some foreign films that are not Hollywood! Yes, Hollywood maybe the mainstream option for many stars but not for them all. There are Bollywood actors who tried something different and experimented with foreign films! Here is a list of actors who took Bollywood to world cinemas.

Adil Hussain - Crash Test Aglaé is an upcoming French film by Eric Gravel. The film is yet to release and it is an on the road movie about an obsessive worker who accepts to take up work in India for her company and travel there by road. Adil Hussain has a key role in the film.

Nandita Das – The actress got acclaimed for her performances both as an actress and director at several international platforms. In 2014 she did a Spanish film called Rastres de Sàndal  which was based on the international bestselling novel, Traces of Sandalwood and is a film about a Bollywood star’s search for her lost sister. The film also released in English.

Sonu Sood, Neha Sharma, Ali Fazal – The three actors were seen in a Chinese adventure film which became China’s entry for the Oscars in 2016. The film was Xuanzang is a film about a monk’s quest to gain more knowledge about Buddhism.

Mallika Sherawat – She was a part of the popular Chinese flick, The Myth, which starred Jackie Chan in the lead role. The film came out in 2005 and was a martial arts adventure film.

Naseerudin Shah and Milind Sonam– He acted in a French – German – Indian film called Valley Of Flowers, 2006 and is an independent film directed by Pan Nalin. It is a drama set over two centuries in the HImalyas.

Irrfan Khan – He was a part of the 2007, Canadian film Partition which is a story about the time of Indian partition and set in 1947. He played the role of Avatar Singh in the movie.
