We've heard a lot about TV actors trying their luck at movies and not succeeding in doing so. But then, there are a few actors who have won the heart of audiences both on TV and celluloid. Take a look:
Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan has created history by doing a blockbuster TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati and his glorious filmy career needs no introduction. Not only is he the Shahenshah of Bollywood, but he’s taken over TV like a cake walk. Little do people remember that Big B has also hosted a season of Bigg Boss.
Farooq Sheikh
From Chamatkar to Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai, TV has never seen such a versatile actor who was one of the best TV hosts of his time. His version of what we had seen Simi Garewal doing to Star World was beautifully accepted by the audience in Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai on Zee TV. Farooq also had a stupendously successful career at the movies which classics like Chashme Baddur, Umrao Jaan, YJHD etc.
Sushant Singh Rajput
The nation knew Manav from Pavitra Rishta to an extent that little did people care about his real name. Until Sushant Singh Rajput did Kai Po Che, critics were sitting like vultures to write off the Bollywood debut of this successful TV actor on day 1. But, he took over and now he has respect, fame and legacy attached to his name in a short time span. His last film MS Dhoni is proof of it.
Ram Kapoor
Ram became a rage on TV with Kasamh Se and Bade Acche Lagte Hain. While it takes a couple of hit and misses for a TV actor to establish himself, Ram aced it in two shows! Film offers poured over him and he’s done quite a few popular films including Student Of The Year, and Humshakals. Mind it, he’s done a film with Sunny Leone too! Ram has been a part of Baar Baar Dekho, Lakshmi, Agent Vinod, Udaan etc.
Ronit Roy
From being Mr, Bajaj to Mihir Virani, leaving the fans spellbound in Udaan, 2 States, SOTY, and now Kaabil, there’s no platform that can dis Ronit Roy! He’s by far the most successful actor after Big B to have created a balance in his TV and film careers.
