Here Is How Much These 6 Bollywood Hits Collected At The Chinese Box Office!

Aamir Khan’s Dangal caught our attention yet again after it released in China last week and is replicating its success at the Chinese box office as well. The film has already broken all the previously held records of Bollywood films in China and inching towards creating a new benchmark.

China is the second largest movie market in the world after U.S.A and Bollywood creating a place for itself at the Chinese box office is a pretty big deal not just for Dangal but for many more movies that will release in the country thereafter.

Dangal is Bollywood’s biggest release in China till date but not the only one. There have been Bollywood exports to China and all have done fairly well. Take a look at Bollywood’s highest grosser in China till date.

Happy New Year – In 2014 Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year released in over 2000 screens in China. The light hearted entertainer did fairly well as it collected 1.68 crores in the country.

3 Idiots – Aamir Khan’s witty eye opener for students was a rage when it released in China in 2009. The film collected Rs. 16.8 crores at the Chinese box office and was a sensation over the internet in China, and was widely shared and viewed on Douban and YouTube like video portal in the country.

Bahubali – The first installment of Indian’s blockbuster Bahubali released in China and got a luke warm response at the box office. The film that was a 2015 spectacle in India earned only Rs. 7.54 crores in China.

Dhoom 3 – Dhoom is a successful franchise in India and the 3^rd installment of the movie was a rage with Aamir Khan in a negative role. The film was well received in China and was released in nearly 2000 screens in China. The film collected Rs. 24 crores in the country.

PK – Another one of Aamir Khan’s wholesome entertainers, PK was a roaring success in China. It was released in 4,500 screens across the country and became the first Bollywood film to earn over 100 crores in China. The film collected Rs. 107 crores.

Dangal – beating his own records, Aamir Khan’s Dangal is doing exceptionally well In China. The film was released in over 7000 screen in the country and has already broken the Bollywood box office records earning Rs. 121 crores in China already.

With constraints of only 34 foreign films releasing in China every year Bollywood has to struggle its way in the country but slowly yet steadily Bollywood is making its mark and Aamir Khan is emerging as the Bollywood superstar in China.
