Bollywood has its proven success formulas — from the lead pair’s chemistry which amps up the hype around a film to chartbuster music. Often, it’s an actor-director duo too which spells magic at the box-office. And, some of these successful pairings are now making a comeback in upcoming Bollywood biggies. Check them out:
Ajay Devgn and Indra Kumar
Ajay’s last movie with director Indra Kumar was Masti (2004). Ajay is now stepping in for actor Sanjay Dutt, who refused to star in the third part of the Dhamaal franchise, Total Dhamaal, which is likely to have adult comedy content. Ajay Devgn is reportedly being paid a whopping `35 crore for the film.
Emraan Hashmi and Milan Luthria
Last time they collaborated, the result was the 2011 hit The Dirty Picture, which also starred Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah. The two are teaming up again for Baadshaho, a thriller starring Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’Cruz. The poster released by Milan mentions the film’s subject, which is the 1975 Emergency.
Abhishek Bachchan and JP Dutta
JP Dutta launched Junior Bachchan in Refugee (2000) and later directed Umrao Jaan (2006) with him and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Dutta has launched the poster of his next venture, Paltan, and Abhishek has confirmed that he’s starring in the film.
