Dishkiyaaon's Box Office Fate...Will it be Great?

Ever since actor Harman Baweja started seeing Bipasha Basu, his career seems to have gotten a new launch pad. After giving box-office duds like What’s Your Raashee?, Victory and Love Story 2050, he is hopeful that his fourth Dishkiyaoon will bring his career on the right track. Harman recently told media that he is reinventing himself with the film. But the truth is he is relaunching himself. He has definitely worked on his look and acting skills. In many ways, Dishkiyaoon is quite crucial for Harman.

If the rumours are anything to go by, Bipasha Basu will exchange rings with Harman Baweja after the release. They are likely to get married to each other by the end of the year. Their families have also met formally.

She approves of her beau next film Dishkiyaoon, as she is urging everyone on Twitter to see the movie. She even said the film moved her to tears. But after watching the trial show of Dishkiyaoon, she requested the producers to tone down Harman Baweja's intimate scenes with newbie Ayesha Khanna. The scenes have been shot and she has seen it anyway so why this hypocrisy which is a publicity stunt? As if she has been all docile and demure on the screen!

What's in store

Dishkiyaoon is about the Mumbai underworld. It’s an action packed film. However, the film appears to be a mainstream Bollywood film with four songs, some intimate scenes and lots of action. The film, also starring Sunny Deol, Prashant Narayanan, and Aditya Pancholi, has an item number by Shilpa Shetty. It also marks her and her husband Raj Kundra debut as a producer. No wonder why the couple recently visited Siddhivinayak temple to seek blessings!

Any surpises? Not really

From the trailer to the dialogues, the film appears to be a typical Bollywood entertainer. Nothing seems to be out of the box. With music by Sneha Kanwelkar, it marks the directorial debut of Sanamjit Singh Talwar. Shot across several locations in Mumbai by German cinematographer Axel Fisher, the action entertainer aims to shed new light on the Mumbai underworld through the eyes of contemporary real characters. Having said all that, we will have to wait and see if the audience appreciates this one!
