Exclusive: Emraan Hashmi Talks About Career Failures, Being A Cancer Specialist, ‘Azhar’ And More!

Gearing up to what he considers one of the most challenging roles of his career, Emraan Hashmi along with actress Prachi Desai was here in the national capital recently to promote Azhar. In an exclusive interview to Desimartini, Emraan went lengths talking about what he felt being offered a controversial project such as this and how his recent career failures have affected him personally.

From visiting the holy shrine of Nizamuddin Dargah to seek blessings to dedicating all his time to movie promotions, there’s enough clarity of how badly Emraan wants this film to succeed. Opening up on the journey he’s been through from his son’s illness to the recovery, Emraan also revealed he has plans to get the story on big screen. Accompanying him was his on screen wife Naureen aka Prachi Desai who did not have any doubts over the success of the film. When asked how difficult was it for her to get into the skin of a character as layered as this one, the actress had plenty to tell.
