Hera Pheri Flavor Is Back And Here Are 4 Reasons Why We Really Really Needed It!

A few weeks ago when he had reported about Akshay Kumar playing as many as five different roles for Omung Kumar’s ‘Five’, not only were his fans elated, they were also looking forward to see him do something different. However, the actor had different plans and things just didn’t fall into place. As it turned out Mr. Patriot had a packed 2017 and Omung Kumar didn’t have the bandwidth to wait that long.
Anyway, the ramifications of this loss may end up being someone else’s gain and we might just be treated with something special. Akshay has reportedly let go of Five so he can instead do Priyadarshan’s upcoming comedy that also stars Paresh Rawal. Now we are pretty sure this is one deal you really wouldn’t mind taking up. How long has it been since we saw a solid Priyadarshan brand of comedy with both Paresh and Akshay in the fray? Long enough!
The last the trio of Akshay, Paresh Rawal and Priyadarshan happened together was way back in 2009 through De Dana Dan and we are still reeling under its effect. The flavor coming back is in fact what we needed really badly, here’s why:
Because It’s Been Long
While at one point of time Akshay was frequently being seen in every second Priyadarshan movie, he kind of made it slow after his career revamp a few years back. Khatta Meetha was a forgettable affair and even that came out six years ago. Paresh Rawal as we know is someone who performs his best when working with Priyadarshan and even he has been sort of inactive off late.
Because It’s A Killer Combo
From Hera Pheri, Garam Masala and Bhagam Bhag to Bhool Bhulaiyaa and De Dana Dan, if there’s a comic combo that can outdo this team in churning out quality comedies, we’ll be mistaken to believe that. This team has had the legacy of bringing the house down with super entertainment and we can only expect some quality content coming our way.
Because We Are Missing Priyadarshan
The shades of comedy today have changed manifold. We are either being served too much of intelligence in the name of offbeat comedy, or we are being stuffed some crass junk in our mouth like Housefull 3 and Humshakals. If there’s something we terribly miss right now is the childlike chaos we are bound to fall for and no one else but Priyadarshan can craft that.
Because We Need A Good Laugh
We need a laugh, like a real laugh! We are sure most of us have perhaps grown enough to not have a stomach ache laughing with the chaos filled climax that Priyadarshan offers, but when was the last you recommended someone a movie only because the theater was going mad with laughter? We are sure Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal in a Priyadarshan movie would at least guarantee us that.
