Here’s What Arshad Warsi Said About Replacing Akshay Kumar in ‘Aankhein 2’

Well, what goes around comes around they say.
After getting replaced by Akshay Kumar in Jolly LLB sequel, it’s now Arshad Warsi’s turn to do the same with Aankhein 2.
Aankhein, which had the star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Arjun Rampal, has had a bit of a makeover. While the sequel will have Amitabh Bachchan and Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar are not part of the next installment.
Instead Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor will be joining the film.
The Munnabhai actor, who showed his disappointment for not being considered for the Jolly LLB sequel, joked: “Bahut Purani planning hai. Humne bachpan main socha tha kya karenge. (It’s all old planning. We had decided from our childhood what we would do).”
On a more serious note, he added, “It’s a coincidence. It happens at times. Abhi isme koi kuch nahi hai. Hota hai aisa. Kabhi koi yeh role kar leta hai. So it’s fine.”
The actor was over the moon at getting a chance to work with his childhood hero Amitabh Bachchan.
He said: “From my childhood, I have loved him. He is my hero and always will be. I respect all other actors but when you love somebody he is everything. And my luck was such that my debut film was produced by him. We did one film and it was unfortunate what happened with the film and this is the second time I am getting an opportunity to work with him. It’s been approximately 20 years in this industry. I am so happy to be here and I don’t think any actor is complete if he hasn’t shared the screen with Mr. Bachchan.”
