4 Pan India Films That Kabali Threatens To Overtake In Records!

Rajinikanth’s Kabali may appear to be a Tamil release from an outlook but we shouldn’t be making that stupid mistake of undermining its overall potential. The film that looks set to shatter all opening records tomorrow, is also getting a pretty recognizable release in other parts of India as well. The film has been dubbed in a lot of respective languages and is expected to do well in all versions.
Having said that, a lot of prestigious records are also under some major threats! Did you know the highest Indian opener isn’t a Hindi release? Last year, in the same season of biggies coming one after the other, Baahubali opened to a massive 50 crores in its opening day alone. A figure that still seems implausible for a mainstream Hindi release was brought under the reign last year. Hence, to expect Kabali to surpass it isn’t too much to ask for.
Baahubali
The opening day record of Baahubali’s 50 crore is under major threat. If cities besides Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Hyderabad perform exceedingly well, chances for the record getting shattered may just go up.
PK
The highest grossing film in India is Aamir Khan’s PK. With 340 crores in its kitty, PK’s envious record can down 2nd in the list if Kabali’s word of mouth picks up bigtime. Aamir, are you listening?
Sultan
The most fresh in the trends, even Salman Bhai is under a lot of threat owing to Rajini’s popularity. Sultan has recently set a lot of records of becoming the fastest film to enter the 100 and 200 crore club in India. Also the film became the quickest to make it to 500 crores (globally). With Kabali’s craze breaking boundaries, the Sultan may soon lose its freshly earned titles.
Baahubali (Again)
Baahubali holds the prestigious honor of being the highest grossing South Indian film in overseas. Given the chunk of Tamil population based in US and UK, Kabali might just sail past this record of Baahubali too.
