Modern family is easily one of the most popular sitcoms on the planet. Now in its eighth season, the critically acclaimed show, has a sizable following not just in the U.S. but India as well. And, like most great sitcoms, the biggest strength of the show is its diverse and talented cast, who play characters that we all have come to love. 

So, bearing that legacy in mind, we decided to give popular American show a desi spin. In case, you know, someday someone decides to remake the iconic show and give it an Indian avatar.

The loud and kooky Gloria can be played by the very talented and stylish Lisa Haydon.

Jay is grumpy and set in his ways. But he is also a big softie from the inside and has a big heart. Boman Irani seems like a perfect choice.

Claire is obsessive, sarcastic and uptight. But she is also complex and witty. Kangana Ranaut seems tailor made for the role.

There is no one more lovable than Phil. The utterly uncool Dad can be played by Akshay Kumar.

The role of nerdy and sarcastic Alex Dunphy can be played well by Sanah Kapoor.

The fashionable and popular Haley is a role that would well suit Rehea Chakraborty.
