Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s is an acting talent that everybody appreciates. But that wasn't always the case. For a long time, he struggled to find his place in the industry. Appearing in small and often neglected roles, he somehow kept his career -- and life -- afloat. But things changed and little-by-little, his talent started becoming apparent to everyone. His roles got meatiesr and more substantial and we started to take notice of him. And we very well know how the rest of the story unfolds.
And in 2017, the actor is taking to the next level.
With two releases in January itself (Haraamkhor and Raees), the actor has already made a significant impact on everyone. And the good news is that this is just the start of his projects:
Munna Michael
This Sabbir Khan musical will star Tiger Shroff and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The actor will also be seen dancing in the project, which is about a street kid who dreams of becoming Michael Jackson.
The film is slated for a July 21, 2017 release.
Babumoshai Bandookbaaz
Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the main role, ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ will be an action comedy film directed by Kushan Nandy. The film will be produced by Kiran Shyam Shroff and Ashmith Kunder.
The film is scheduled for a August 25, 2017 release.
Manto
The Nadiata Das directorial is a biopic on the life of the famous Urdu writer Saadat Hasan Manto who would be palyed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film will also star Rasika Duggala nd a 3 minute part of the film has already been released at the Cannes Film Festival.
The film will release later in 2017.
Chanda Mama Door Ke
The 2018 sci fi film which will also be starring Sushant Singh Rajput and R. Madhvan in key roles apart from Naawzuddin Siddiqui. The film will be directed by Sajay Puran Singh Chauhan and will portray Nawazuddin as an astronaut.
Phobia 2
The second part of the psychological thriller Phobia that is being directed by Pawan Kripalani will feature Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He will be seen tackling the fear of flying which is known as aviophobia, in the film.
The film will start shooting in the latter half of 2017.
Jagga Jasoos
In Ranbir Kapoor's latest musical Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be playing the villain and for so long his role has been kept under wraps as a surprise for the sudiences. His role is just a cameo in the story but is certainly surprising!
