Shocking - Censor Board Chief Pahlaj Nihalani Sacked!! Here's Who Would Be Replacing Him!

With the Bollywood filmmakers finding it exceedingly hard to get past the censor board without dozens of cuts in their films that are lined up for release, Censor Board Chief Pahlaj Nihalani has now been sacked from his position and has been replaced by writer and lyricist Prasson Joshi.

Be it the entire debate over the word ‘intercourse’ in the trailer of Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal or Madhur Bhandarkar’s Indu Sarkar struggling to release the issue has been many. Even the simplest of concept was harshly reviewed by Nihalani and it caused quite a stir amongst the producers in the industry to boycott his actions.

Nihalani’s term of three years as the CBFC Chief that was due to end in January 2018 has been cut off and reduced and Prasoon Joshi will now be the new head. It is also said the Vidya Balan will be a new member to the board.
