Salman Khan’s Sultan Is Very Close To Breaking His Own Previous Records, Here’s How!

As you’re reading this, the World Television Premiere of Salman Khan’s Sultan is underway and all those people who did not contribute to its 300 crore marathon rally are sitting in front of their TV sets and enjoying it. The film that broke most box office records this year and entered in the 300 crore club is now expected to break another record.

The highest TRP that a film has garnered through a single TV screening is Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The 2015 release set a new record and charted a TRP of 16.4 becoming the most watched premiere on television. Interestingly, the film it went past was also a Salman Khan release Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The Kabir Khan directorial had made a TRP score of 15.5 and held that record until PRDP arrived.

With Sultan on its way to air on TV, it is expected that this sports drama is going to set new records. With better feedback, positive word of mouth, yashraj appeal, everything goes in the favor of Sultan when compared to PRDP and hence it is presumably safe to say that Sultan will soon emerge breaking this record already.
