Get Excited! Looks Like Salman Khan's Sultan is Getting a Sequel

So as we all expected, Sultan is shattering all the possible records at the box-office. Not only that, the film has received good reviews from the critics, who have praised the film’s ode to classic Bollywood films. Not only that but the performances of Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma are also getting widely applauded from both audiences and critics.

And now, there is great news coming in for all Sultan fans. The film, which some say would go on to be the highest grossing Indian film ever, is getting a sequel!  There have been murmurs that the producer Aditya Chopra is so delighted with Sultan’s impact that he’s already making moves for the sequel.

According to reports, the YRF chief, seeing the massive potential of Sultan, has already decided that the next installment gets made. While writer-director Abbas Ali Zafar will work on the script of the film, reports suggest that Salman Khan has agreed to be involved as well. Chopra, who already has the Dhoom franchise in his kitty, seems to be working towards another franchise.

Sultan, which has not surprised anyone with its success, was released on Eid to a bumper opening. There is little doubt that Sultan 2 – if it does get made – wouldn’t achieve similar level of success.
