5 Things About IIFA 2018 That Will Make You Excited For The Award Ceremony!

The International Indian Film Academy Awards are one of the most prestigious awards that are given out every year. The award function is not just important for the talent that it recognizes, but also for the sheer entertainment that it provides. Remember when Ranbir turned to Silk Smitha or when Neil Nitin Mukesh broke eggs on SRK and Saif Ali Khan ? Well, those were all gigs performed at IIFA. This year too, IIFA is all set to entertain the audiences besides recognizing the talents of the industry. The press conference for IIFA was held yesterday in Delhi and here are 5 things that we got to know about it:

1. The Venue

This year’s IIFA will be taking place at the Siam Niramit Theatrein Bangkok, Thailand. Yes, the makers have decided to go back to Bangkok for this annual celebration.

2.  The dates

This year the IIFA Awards will be held from June 22^nd to 24^th . It is less than a month away!

3. The hosts

This time, the IIFA Awards will be hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Karan Johar .

4. The performers

While all the performers are not confirmed, it has been said that Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor and entertain the audiences with their performances this year!

5. The good cause supported this year

Every year, the IIFA tries to promote something for the environment. This year IIFA will team up with UN Environment to campaign for “Beat The Plastic”. Tthe UN Environment goodwill ambassador for India,   Dia Mirza , will spearhead the campaign.
