It starred the current I&B minister Smriti Irani in the lead role as Tulsi Virani, and Ronit Roy as Mihir Virani. The show was popular for its almost 300 year old great grandmother Ba (played by late Sudha Shivpuri) and the chronicles of an empowered Indian housewife.

Before the invasion of saas bahu dramas on Hindi Television, we’ve seen more comic and entertaining shows in India, one of which is Hum Paanch, which made Zee TV world famous.
