8 Hollywood Films That Failed To Shine At The Indian Box Office In 2017 (So Far)

But if 2017 has been a disappointing year for Bollywood films, Hollywood films have also not done great business in India. With Deepika Padukone starrer xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage and Priyanka Chopra’s Baywatch creating a lot of buzz in the country in the first half but failing to entice the audiences, Logan, The Fate Of The Furious, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Dunkirk and Annabelle: Creation have been the only few films that could make their presence felt.
Here are the Hollywood films that flopped at the Indian box office –
Kingsman: The Golden Circle – The second installment of the action/spy film Kingsman, it failed to gain audiences in India. The film earned 12.35 crores at the box office.
IT – The horror flick based on the Stephen King novel did amazing business in U.S. but grossed only 18.47 crores in India.
Beauty and The Beast – The film is one of the biggest Hollywood hits across the world but in India, it only managed to earn 17.63 crores in India.
Baywatch – Priyanka Chopra was a major attraction for Indians but flopped with a mere collection of 7.9 crores.
Smurfs: The Lost Village – The animation film did bad business across the world and was likewise reflected in India as it earned 4 crores.
Car 3 – The third installment of the Cars franchise was one of the biggest Hollywood duds in the country with just 1.30 crores.
Wars for The Planet Of Apes – The sci-fi flopped despite good reviews managing to earn just 12.75 crores.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 – Chris Patt starrer Marvel flick ended up with just 13.8 crores in collections from India.
xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage – What was supposed to be Deepika’s smashing debut failed to get many viewers in India and earned just 31.01croress at the box office.
