Batla House Box-Office Day 1: The John Abraham Starrer Starts Off With Decent Numbers!
Batla House Collects 14.59 Crores On Day 1
Updated : August 16, 2019 12:42 PM ISTJohn Abraham and Mrunal Thakur starrer Batla House released yesterday along with Mission Mangal. The Nikhil Advani film was based on the Batla House encounter that happened in Delhi after the 2008 Parliament Blast. The film is based on a very sensitive and controversial topic and claimed that it would show the truth.
Despite cases and controversies surrounding the film, it released on Independence Day and the collection of the first day is out. The film has made 14.59 crores on Day 1. Well, it could not reach the 1st day collection of John’s Independence Day release last year, Satyameva Jayate. In fact, unlike Satyameva, this film actually suffered due to the clash. But, this film is definitely faring better than John’s other release this year- Romeo Akbar Walter.

The collections should remain close on Friday as well and it would definitely grow on Saturday to Sunday. But, we are yet to see if it could enter the 100 crore club by the 1st week. In fact, thanks to the positive reviews of Mission Mangal, this film won’t trend as much as the Akshay Kumar starrer.
