Chehre Day 2 box office: Amitabh Bachchan- Emraan Hashmi starrer collects approx 1 crore

Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre was the big Bollywood release of the week. The thriller by Rumi Jafry also boasted of being a courtroom drama of sorts. The fact that Rhea Chakraborty would be seen on-screen also generated curiosity amongst moviegoers. However, the film failed to pick up the pace even on Day 2.

According to a report in Box Office India, the film apparently collected around 55-60 lakhs INR on Saturday, i.e., on Day 2. It was higher than the first-day collection of 45 lakhs INR. The report sums up that the film has collected around a crore so far. Chehre, which has been doing business mainly in Delhi and East Punjab faced strong competition from the Punjabi film, Chal Mera Putt 2 which collected 1.15 crores INR in Saturday alone and has managed to pocket a total of close to 2.15 crores in 2 days.

Chehre will definitely do a little better on Sunday. However, the collections won't go up drastically. Hopefully, it will manage to collect a crore today. The film has received largely negative reviews. While critics have lauded the performance and the first half of the film, they felt that the second half wasn't up to the mark.
