Here Is What We Are Expecting From Rajkummar And Shradhha’s Stree
Updated : August 30, 2018 02:49 PM ISTThe wait is almost over. Rajkumnmar Rao and Shradhha Kapoor starrer Stree is all set to hit the theatres this Friday. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the films is based on the Nale Ba urban legend and is going to be a horror comedy. The trailer of the film and especially its hilarious dialogues has been quite a hit and even the songs become quite popular.
With a stellar star cast and a quirky story, here is what we are expecting from Rajkummar Rao and Shradhha Kapoor’s Stree.
Good Balance Of Horror And Comedy
With disasters like Naanu Ki Jaanu and Gang of Ghosts, horror comedy is one genre that Bollywood has grappled with. However, looking at the trailer of the Stree we are confident that this film has finally managed to get the right balance between horror and comedy. While the visuals gave us creeps, the dialogues crack us up everytime we watch the trailer.
Superb Acting Performances
Last time Pankaj Tripathi and Rajkummar Rao came together for one film, they dished out a gem like Newton. Thus we are keeping our expectations high from this one as well. Additionally, there is also Aparshakti Khurrana who has proved his mettle in all the small supporting roles that he has done. Especially these actors have proved their excellent comic timings in different movies, thus we are excited to see them coming together for a film where they can have the scope to explore comic talents together.
Interesting Music
The music of the film has been composed by music director duo Sachin-Jigar who has previously given music for hit songs from the films Gold and ABCD 2 and has done some cool experiments in films like Go Goa Gone and Finding Fanny. The songs of Stree that have released so far has the same sense of melody and quirk. Honestly, Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe is one of the quirkiest experiment in music we have seen in Bollywood in a while.
Right Portrayal Of A Legend
As most of you know, Stree is based on a ridiculous urban legend of Nale Ba that happened in Karnataka. The legend is so bizarre that only a horror comedy could have done justice to it. Thus, we are expecting the makers to perfectly convey the essence of the urban legend in the film.
Might Just Be Shradhha Kapoor’s Hit After A While
Shraddha Kapoor has been on quite a flop streak for a while now. In fact, her last proper hit was Baaghi in 2016. Since then only Half Girlfriend has worked somewhat and films like OK Jaanu, Rock On 2 and the nightmarish Haseena Parker has been total duds. With such strong buzz, a popular story and co-star like Rajkummar Rao, Stree might be the hit that Shradhha’s Bollywood career is in dire need of.
