Housefull 4 Day 1 Box-Office: Akshay Kumar’s Reincarnation Comedy Collects 18.85 Crores

The fourth film of Akshay Kumar’s Housefull  franchise, Housefull 4, released yesterday. The film has been helmed by producer Sajid Nadiadwala  as one of the most expensive comedies to be made. Thanks to the reincarnation drama, the set designs and VFX had to be made well to make it look believable. Fans had responded well to the film as well, registering a good advance booking and occupancy rate. But did this Akshay Kumar led film do well?

Well, despite a lot of negative criticism, the film has fared well at the box-office on Day 1. The film has collected 18.85 crores on its opening day. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the occupancy dropped in the evening and it might be because of Diwali festivities which have already begun!

However, given the film has been getting a negative word of mouth, the Saturday and Sunday collection would be very crucial to decide the fate of the film. Housefull 4 has released with Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Saand Ki Aankh and Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy starrer Made In China., both of which has got far better reviews that this reincarnation comedy.
