Kabir Singh Box-Office Day 5: The Shahid Kapoor Starrer Pockets 104.90 Crores!

Shahid Kapoor seems to have hit his first solo century in 2019 with Kabir Singh. The actor, who has had a 100 crore film Padmaavat that also starred Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, is having a roll with Kabir Singh. The film was all set to enter 100 crore on Tuesday, i.e, on Day 5 but it did so with so much of ease that it is commendable.

On Day 5, the film continued its momentum and collected 16.53 crores, just 1 crore less than its Monday collection. The film’s total collection now is 104.90 crores.

With Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor has proved that he is capable of giving a 100 crore film alone! In fact, compared to all the other films that zoomed into the 100 crore club this year within 10 days, this had the lowest number of screens assigned to it.

If the trend continues at this pace, then Kabir Singh will surpass Bharat’s collection by the next week. The only competition that the film will be facing is Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15 that will release on 28^th June. But given the massy nature, and even the negative publicity that it has received, there is less chance for it to show down.

It now remains to be seen that how long will Kabir Singh take to surpass Bharat and if it would be able to cross Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike’s lifetime collection! What are your predictions? Let us know in the comments.
